Our puppy Freya swallowed a corn cob. Dr. Slangal stayed late on Saturday to perform the surgery for us. She has gone above & beyond to care for our Freya and we are so pleased with all the staff. Very caring & friendly. They will have a long time customer with us. Highly recommend!
Vet was very patient with us in listening to concerns and questions. Because of covid, they came to the car to get the pet and bring her back out. Staff was very attentive and awesome.
Trust both my labs with the Techs and Docs there. Haven’t really had a single complaint, if they require specialist, their referrals have been top notch.
I highly recommend Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital. They have been caring for our pets for many, many years and I wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else. They are wonderful!
Scheduled my dog immediately. Staff very friendly/ & competent. professional. We need surgery. They scheduled it right away, sent me info and estimate. Extremely reasonable costs. Very pleased. Highly recommend.
This was our first visit with our 3 year old pit bull who has epilepsy and allergy issues. Tucker is usually very stressed and in protection mode with us when we take him to the vet. He was way calmer at this visit than he has been anywhere else and they took him to a separate room and said he calmed right down. The vet was awesome. He listened to all of our concerns and talked about a solution for each of them with us. We were there for an hour and never felt rushed. Very calm and pleasant environment. Tucker is very high strung and can be a lot but they were so good with him. So happy we changed to them!
My experience here was amazing. This was mine and Isabella’s first visit here. I’m in the process of relocating to Hendersonville and was on the search for a local veterinarian for Isabella. The receptionist went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable making the choice to use this clinic. Dr. Layman was amazing and so were the techs. They were so patient with Isabella and made sure she felt as comfortable as she could being in a new place. My search for a local veterinarian is now over. We found the one. Thanks to all! 
After over thirty years with pets and plenty of vet visits during those years, I can say that Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital is the best vet practice I’ve been to. Drs. Blair and Zehr, along with ALL the support staff, are professional, kind, friendly, and great with our cats. The facility is very clean, and I am very comfortable recommending them to others.
Hands down the best vet in Hendersonville. I’ve lived here for 40+ years and have used several vets for different pets over the years. Dr. Blair and Dr. Zehr (and their staff) are the most professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and efficient practice I’ve used. Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital is our vet of choice.
Very personable and professional. The vets and staff explain your pets condition and treatment options with knowledge and compassion. They inspire confidence. Annual health checkup visit today and Zeke could not be healthier or happier. They greet him like he is their special guest and of course he loves the attention. Annual visit went great. They follow all COVID safety protocols and make me and Zeke feel very comfortable.
Dr. Zehr and Dr Blair are top notch veterinarians who care about all animals. They treat my dogs as if they were their own pets. The entire staff is wonderful as well. My dogs have been patients there since Dr. Zehr first started his practice there. I highly recommend them!

Dr Blair has always been tuned in to the needs of our animals and the best way to care for them. He is very good at referring patients to informative sites that teach them more about their animals. He is extremely careful, gentle, and compassionate. We don’t trust anyone but HVH.
Our little furry family has been seeing Dr. Zehr for 15 years. Our previous dog, who was at many times a medical mystery, always received top-notch care and we were always explained fully every option for proceeding with his care. We also always trust that if an issue is too far out of Dr. Zehr’s general practicing realm, we will be referred to specialists who can further address our questions in a very timely manner.
We now live almost 2 hours away, and still continue to travel to HVH for the care of our two dogs. Dr. Zehr is patient and slow with our timid young dog. He is thorough with our aging dog as she develops more lumps and bumps with every exam. He is so nice and personable with us, and we truly feel that every concern we have is heard and addressed during appointments.
Finding a vet/patient relationship like we feel we have with HVH is remarkable, and absolutely worth the cost of care (and travel for us). We will continue using Dr. Zehr as our vet for our dogs now and in the future. 🐾

Got our dog in within a day. She was very sick and no one else could get her in. They were very caring, and she was much better by the next day. The vet called us for several days to check on how she was doing. Will definitely recommend and go back to them!!
I have been taking my dogs and cats to Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital for probably close to 20 years. We see both doctors there and they are both amazing! I never have a preference when scheduling because they both treat our pets like they are their own. I highly recommend this office.
